We have chosen to use two technologies that combine probing and scanning. These technologies are especially effective for digitizing complex parts or parts with a combination of sensing points and surfaces.

Our method yields a complete digital representation of the object that can be used for reverse engineering, quality inspection, or any stage in a typical production cycle.

The expertise that sets us apart

1. Technological equipment

We use a Faro 7-axis arm with high-resolution 3D digitizing scanner that is perfect for projects involving:

  • Probing with required precision tolerances of +/- 0.005” and above for your parts, within a 9 foot (maximum) diameter envelope.
  • 3D digitizing with required precision tolerances of +/- 0.010” and above for your parts, within a 9 foot (maximum) diameter envelope.

2. Use of specialized software

We also use 2 types of software:

  • PolyWorks, which is specialized for dimensional inspection and reverse engineering.
  • Geomagic, which is designed for reverse engineering of solid parametric models (SOLIDWORKS, STEP, IGES).
